Personal Care Associates
Personal Services Associates provide hands on assistance for the aging adult and persons with disabilities. Services are provided to allow aging adults to continue to carry out their daily functions of daily living, self-care and mobility. Below is a brief description of the main requirements of the position, additional tasks may be assigned based on client needs.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED
Previous Experience a plus
Drug Screen required
Background Screening required
TB Test required
Valid Drivers License
Ability to document notes for each visit to client home
Essential Job Duties:
Attendant Personal Services Associate shall provide services as per the service plan. The type of services and schedule of services must be provided and documented daily or as the schedule dictates. Daily service records shall include date and time of service, specific tasks provided by the caregiver and all required services and daily signatures of caregiver providing the service.
- Personal Care - dressing grooming, bathroom asssistance, medication reminders
- Activity / Mobility Assitance - provide assistance with use of walker, cane, wheelchair, range of motion, transfers
- Bathroom Usuage Assitance - assist with bedpan, bedside toilet, empy urine from foley bags or stool from colostomy bags.
- Rehab support - mobility, assist with recovering from illness/surgery
Homemaker Services Associates
Homemaker Services Associates help with or perform household tasks, including housekeeping, shopping, laundry, meal planning, preparation, and cleaning. Personal Services Associate is to assist and ensure that the client is in a clean, safe, and healthy environment. - Light Housekeeping: light cleaning of general areas, vacuum, sweep floors, clean sink and high touch areas of the home, wash dishes, empty trash clean bathroom.
- Cooking: meal preparation, grocery shopping assistance, putting away of groceries, keeping pantry clean and organized
- Laundry: general washing of clothes for the client, take clothes to professional cleaner
- Homemaking: make bed, change linens and towels
- Travel Assistance - provide assistance for shopping (grocery, essential supply pick up, escort to events, functions, religious activities
